May Bank Holiday

I mentioned Cod in the last posting and here we have young Kuba from Killarney with his Dad and friends fishing on a very ‘lumpy’ Saturday afternoon.

Kuba with the Cod

Tomas sent me these photos of the day he and friends were out with me. This was a great fine day no wind or swell.Mine is bigger than yours !!
We had a visit from the Common Dolphins, I have had no luck in getting a photo when they jump out of the water, but it’s great to see them so we followed them in a mile circle south of the Blasket Sound. Fishing was good again with mainly Pollack some Wrasse and even a few Herring !! Everyone said it’s too late for them but there they were ?
We had a little fun with a fine Pollack as he was being hasuled in over the hand rail on the bow the fish fell off the hook and back into the water. Luckily I had the net with the long handle near me and I Fished him back to the boat, unlucky fish, ha ha.

Unlucky Pollack

The great thing about fishing is that there is always something funny happening and great to have a laugh.

Lucky and a laugh
