Stormy Weather

For the 3 weeks of september I got out 2 times to fish. Last year we had 20 days in September, but what the heck ! I was not the only one ‘in from’ the weather, the Spanish Tuna boats or Pole Boats as we call them were tied up in dingle for 2 weeks during the tail end of hurricanes from the Atlantic.
I took some time to do a little maintainance on the boat & gear.

The sea was in a terrible state but facinating to look at during the height of the storms.

Stormy seas !

I promised you a few words on the fishing trip with Mike Thrussell & Mike Hennessy, I’m still waiting for the hpotos but I can tell you we/they caught a total of 14 Species in dingle Bay & Blasket Islands in the day out. This was as good as it gets, my best before this was about 10. The storms continus as I write but I’m hoping next week will bring a high pressure system over Ireland and we can enjoy calm days fishing next week.
