June 2014

The very 1st day of June Trevor and his Stag gang were out on a fine morning, even though it was seasonally cold the sea was calm. The water temp was low 10.5 oc, so the fishing was slow to start but picked up gradually, some of the guys never fished before.

Ready for Sea !

I’m sure they had a great ‘Dingle’ night later. The following day I had a family from Australia, John Murray and family, they had a house rented in Ventry. Keen fishermen and women, it took them no time to land fish in fact the ladies had a higher catch rate than the men.

Top fisher.

As you can see from the photo the start of the day was poor. They sent me a photo from Ventry before they had a barbi at their rented house.

The Murrays

The rest of the week was painting and little ‘jobs’ around the boat as the weather picked up for a few days. we had a few more short trips for the rest of the month nothing spectacular. More prep for painting while the weather held.
Next months log is much better and a lot more action as the ‘heat wave’ hit us.
Rory.
